Two Caught Smuggling on a cruise ship

Two more caught smuggling on a cruise ship. Why people think that it’s easy to smuggle anything onto a cruise ship confuses me. Two more were caught at the Miami cruise port.

  17. First of all, I just want to say "Thank You Don!!" for always telling the good, the bad and the crazy!!! Secondly, being a government worker, I am ashamed of this guy. He's the type of worker that a lot of citizens think of when they think of government workers and it's a shame. It is a very rewarding job that should be done by the best and by the ones who genuinely care for ALL citizens. I'm floored. Hell, he didn't even need to go to any of the MILLION classes given by the government EVERY DARN MONTH (at least in America) where they talk about utilizing government resources for government work and ESPECIALLY NOT for illegal ventures. Hell, he wasn't taught common sense at home or in school or he JUST DIDN'T LISTEN AND DIDN'T CARE!! Well, at least some citizens dodged his bullet (even if they didn't think they wanted to)!! Great video.EXCELLENT cruise reporting!!

  19. Hey Don, I want to add a small footnote to this story. These was two guys trying to sell illegal drugs on a LGBT CRUISE! My husband and I were once planning to take a "gay cruise" years ago and once I've read some stories on The Advocate about these cruises (I won't mention the cruise company, they specialize in LGBT charter cruises) — a bunch of mostly under 40 year olds who love to party and do drugs so they can party 24 hours/day. Not all the cruisers, by any means, but a great many of them. Once we heard that story, we decided against ever taking a charter LGBT cruise and friends that have taken this type of cruise told us it was like a rave party on deck and a bit too crazy for their tastes.

  20. Not amazed. A government IT person once told me she got a call from a supervisor that his hard drive was to slow and he couldn't save some documents. She found the computer filled up with porn. She said if she saw child porn she would of just called the FBI. Everything on a Government computer or laptop can be examined without a warrant or your approval. She reformatted his computer and reported him to the higher management.

  41. I think you'd be okay if you were just trying to get in a few pills or a little bit of cocaine for personal use. I think people just try to go too big and take in TOO much, which then triggers the dogs and the big searches. People just go too big.

  44. LOL — hilarious story, Don!
It's even better than the woman from Canada's Front Line (season 2 I think) who was stopped at Vancouver International because the drug dog HANDLER (not the dog, the human) could smell what she described to the cameraman afterward as "an overpowering smell" of weed. (This was years ago, before legalization; and anyway, it's still illegal to cross the border with weed, even now.)
The woman was transiting through Vancouver en route to catch a cruise back to the US … which needless to say she missed, because she was arrested for having almost an ounce of weed … hidden in her bra of all places!
(I mean, really, it wouldn't kill these people to at least put a little thought into their smuggling efforts… there's no excuse for this level of sloppiness, LOL)

  45. I don't know how wide spread drug use is on cruise ships but 2 years ago we were in Boleros on Oasis of the Seas and there was a man there completely strung out on something. Everyone was laughing hysterically at him but I thought it was sad because he was really tripping on something.
