Carnival Imagination Full Cruise Ship Tour & Review (2019)

Read my Carnival Imagination review in our Cruise Fever article here:

Carnival Imagination is one of eight Fantasy-class ships with Carnival Cruise Line. She was built in 1995 and recently renovated in 2016.

Imagination currently sails out of Long Beach, California on 3 and 4 night cruises to Catalina and Ensenada.

This full ship tour of Carnival Imagination will go deck by deck showing the lounges, eating options, entertainment venues, pool areas, and more.

An oceanview stateroom tour will be found toward the end of the video.

A Guy’s Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Cantina, and Waterworks water park were added to Imagination in 2016, among some other changes you can see in the video.

The ship is a 70,367 GT vessel, holding over 2,000 passengers and over 900 crew.

I really enjoyed Long Beach and staying overnight on Queen Mary. It’s just a very short walk from Queen Mary to the cruise port and staying on Queen Mary allows you to take a look into some rich maritime history.

  4. What drinks are FREE? Just tap water? On the Carnival site, it recommends the $5 a day unlimited soda/juice plan

  5. Are there any (clothes) irons in the room?

  6. I have a question about the bunk bed, is there like a safety bar? We are cruising with our 3 year old (I've been on several, just not with children) and I'm slightly concerned about him sleeping up there!

  13. Just got back yesterday from this ship. Had an awesome time. If only Ensenada was a bit better. Next time I wanna go to the Caribbean or somewhere else more tropical because Ensenada felt like a dirtier San Francisco in my opinion.

  18. Really appreciate your ship tours as they are filmed and narrated from an authentic, real-world point of a view rather than a marketing reel which I find disjointed and doesn't capture the feel of first-person experience.

  19. Thank you so much for this tour. I really appreciated the cabin tour, because I am staying in the room next door which is similar to this one and there aren't any tours of that room. How was the noise level in the cabin?

  29. Great to see the old girl. I took a 4 night excursion on the Imagination in 2001. Carnival ran the propellers off the Imagination for years out of Miami. It became a major target for singles group agents and was nicknamed the corny Love Boat moniker. One crew member quipped to me that it was really the love 'em and leave 'em boat. No argument there. The Egyptian motif is still intact I see. This is nice medium size ship and is well outfitted. I can only say good things about it.

  33. Ok, I’ve been discouraged about this ship, but you changed our minds. This is probably the first cruise we’re gonna take. We’ve been looking for a short cruise to MX. Thank you for sharing this and your work.
