  1. My wife and I have had our share of cruises! We just returned from a 14 day Baltic cruise on Celebrity!
I am not embarrassed to admit that we cannot afford Seaborne Cruises! However, I still enjoyed this excellent video!
Maybe someday we will find the money to experience this amazing cruise line!

  5. Reminds me of listening to the lifestyles of the rich and famous, since I’m neither rich nor famous this is as close to I’ll get to seeing the inside of a luxury cruise liner…. I’ll have to settle for slumming it with 6000 others on the regular cruise lines 😉

  6. We were fortunate enough to cruise on the Seabourn Spirit back in 2009 from Rome to Venice. Seabourn has retired the Spirit which had 208 passengers with a crew of 169. By the second day, the staff was calling us by name! The only bad news is this was only our third cruise. Now we are spoiled and will not go on a cruise that is NOT Seabourn. The first was on Celebrity from New York to Bermuda, which we enjoyed. The second was Norwegian from Miami to the Southern Caribbean which was a real disappointment, regarding the food and service level. To give one a sense of just how good the service is: When we were escorted to our cabin and introduced to our Stewardess (a lovely young lady named Sara), she walked us around and explained how the DVD player / TV worked etc. The last item was the mini-bar which was stocked based on our pre-cruise questioner. As I had requested, there was a bottle of Beefeater Gin and a bottle of Dewars Scotch. The rest of the fridge had two cans of Tonic Water, Club Soda, and various other sodas. I teasingly mentioned to Sara that after the Tonic Water was gone, and assuming we drank our scotch with club soda there was nothing in the fridge to mix with gin or scotch? Not even an olive to make a Martini. After arriving back in cabin after hanging out at the bar on the top deck as we left the port to change for dinner. I opened the fridge and much to my surprise it had been cleaned out and was stocked with nothing but Tonic Water and a bowl of Spanish Olives with stretch wrap over it. I knew at that moment that we were in for a exceptional cruise experience.

  10. I have to ask but do you think someone of non Western or European descent would feel out of place in these kinds of ships? Cruising isn't exactly popular outside of North America and Europe

  12. Great video thanks! Totally agree with you about the TK Grill: whilst it is absolutely fine, it's nothing special and like you we are at a loss to understand "WHY?" given the amazing talent SB's own chefs have – why get into bed with anyone else? Please bring back T2!! (Yes I know this is a European opinion, not an American one, which is probably the answer??)

  13. Your videos are excellent. I appreciate the calm approach and the honest and direct comments.

After a not-fun-for-my-wife cruise on Royal C 25 years ago, I was able to get her onto a modern cruise ship in early 2017, and by chance we found a travel specialist who urged us toward a Seabourn cruise. We had a great time. I loved the Odyssey. She was convinced enough that we booked a second cruise in the Fall of 2017 and are booked for two more in 2019 both on the Odyssey class ships. I am curious how you feel re comparison with these ships and their newer, larger siblings?

  17. Totally unrelated (sort of) question, one week cruise in the Caribbean, Seabourn or Crystal ? Both about the same price point, what would be your choice ?

  22. Excellent video once again. Food looks amazing and I love the idea of your menus delivered to your room every morning so you can argue all day about where to dine in the evening. Unlikely we will ever have the Seabourn experience, I just wouldn't pay that kind of money for a cruise.

  27. Thank you yet again for taking the time to produce this fantastic video. One quick question, having eaten at The French Laundry, I rally have to ask, is the food served in the Restaurant really that good, or is the Grill really not up to the normal Keller standards ?
