Caribbean Cruises

It’s hard to know what shore excursions to do on a cruise to Mexico, which is why, on my recent cruise with Princess Cruises to the Mexican Riviera I decided to make this video to show the best things to do and the best shore excursions to book in the most popular destinations: Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. I did a mix of exploring independently and booking ship excursions and this video shows exactly what I did in each of these three ports and what they entail. In Cabo San Lucas I independently found a boat in the marina to drop me off and pick me up from Lover’s Beach and Divorce Beach. After that I joined a ship excursion called a luxury sunset yacht cruise, which was phenomenal and took me past the iconic El Arco – a natural rock arch on the tip of Cabo. In Mazatlan I did a shore excursion hike which took me to the top of hill which has a lighthouse on its summit. Afterwards I explored Mazatlan’s historic center independently and made my own way back to ship. In Puerto Vallarta I did an all day ship excursion which I booked on board my cruise – it was a boat excursion which took me to Maajuuitas and Yelapa – two remote, untouched coves on the Mexican Riviera accessible only by boat. In Yelapa there were trees whose fruit are used to make maracas (the musical shaking instrument) and we also enjoyed a jungle hike to a waterfall. This is a wonderful part of the world, but it’s nice to know the best things to do there!
