The Huka Falls River Cruise – A Spectacular Boat Ride | Taupo | New Zealand

In October 2016, I spent a few days in the Central North Island region of New Zealand.

On day 3, I went exploring around Taupo, Kinloch, Reid’s Farm Recreation Reserve, the Huka Falls, Aratiatia Dam and the Kaimanawa Forest.

The river cruise to the Huka Falls was an excellent way to spend an afternoon. The boat takes you quite close to the falls, and although they’re not high you can feel the tremendous force of the water as it comes crashing down and the resulting spray wafts past you.

I’d definitely recommend the boat ride. It’s reasonably priced and suitable for all ages. Check their website here: http://www.hukafallscruise.co.nz/.

As an avid travel fan I’ve done many trips overseas trips to explore the world, learn about history & culture, experience adventure and try exotic food. However recently, I’ve decided to put more effort into exploring my own beautiful country – New Zealand. People come from all over the world to see NZ and rave about how amazing it is. It is time for me to see the beauty that sits right on my doorstep.
